BRENT STROM/TEXAS BASEBALL RANCH

 WINTER 2008

ELITE PITCHER'S BOOT CAMP

Dec 5-7- Tucson Arizona
Dec 27-29 Houston Texas
If your goal is to be the very best…to pitch at the next level…then getting in front of these 2 men is probably one of the most important things you could ever do for your career!
Brent Strom- St. Louis Cardinals As a former Major League pitcher and Major League Pitching Coach with the Kansas City Royals and Houston Astros, Brent has literally seen it all. Brent is considered by many as the quintessential bridge between the concepts, philosophies and teachings of Marshall, House, Mills, Thurston, Dixon and Nyman. He is the ultimate master teacher! He has studied them all and uses pieces of all of them. Brent is not a theorist. He is the consumate teacher motivated primarily not by ‘who’ is right but more interested in ‘what has been proven to work’. Brent has constantly wrestled with the established dogma and rigidity of professional baseball which is typically very reactionary to new things and has come out on the other end as a trusted pioneer and innovator. He is one of the most approachable men in professional baseball and is one of the primary reasons the Elite Pitchers Boot Camp has become by far and away the most practical and useful camp for pitchers in the world today. Coach Strom is one of the world’s leading experts on developing the curveball and command of the fastball. Coach Strom & Coach Wolforth have teamed up an incredible 52 times over the past 5 years and their formats, methodologies and protocols have continually improved making their bootcamps the gold standard in baseball pitching. Simply no one in the world today gets more out of 3 days with pitchers than do Brent & Ron..
Ron Wolforth, Pitching Central, The Texas Baseball Ranch:Practical application’ are the words that so many attribute to Ron. He is viewed by many in the high school and college ranks as the ‘pitching coaches’ pitching coach and the ‘father of objective measurement for pitchers’. He has influenced thousands with his best selling manual ‘The Athletic Pitcher’, Putting athleticism back into the pitching athlete and his follow-up work The Combat Pitcher.-Preparing the pitcher for battle.   Coach is fond of saying, “We don’t want to use an hatchet when a scalpel will do. The key to being a good teacher and pitching coach is knowing what to change, what to leave alone and leaving as few fingerprints on your pitcher’s delivery as possible when it becomes necessary to change something.” Also recently he has teamed up with Brent Strom to create his latest advancement in training pitchers, ‘Blending’, the art and science of transferring the feel of the drill to the game time delivery. We’ve all experienced a player who could perform a drill very well but there was little if any carryover to his game time performance and these two men have made some amazing discoveries in that regard.. Since 2003 and his development of the Athletic Pitcher Program, 41 of Coach Wolforth’s students have been drafted and over 75 have broken the 90mph barrier.

What can Brent Strom & Ron Wolforth possibly do for YOU and your career?
Their training philosophy and system has generated 78 pitchers who have topped 90mph and 14 who have topped 94mph.
Their training philosophy and system has had 41 of their athletes drafted since 2003.
They are considered  ‘pioneers of objective measurement for pitchers’ and two of the main architects in the national trend toward developing athleticism and degrees of freedom into the pitching athlete’?
Coach Strom & Coach Wolforth are routinely consulted by ML baseball organizations , DI programs, Baseball Academies and High School programs with regards to their pitchers. The University of Washington and Vanderbilt have used their systems and ideas to develop young stars such as Tim Lincecum and David Price among others.
Brent Strom is considered by some as the top pitching coach in the world today. His specialty is allowing the innate natural athleticism of each pitcher be developed into a complete package…including fastball command, solid breaking ball and change up with health and durability.
Ron Wolforth is considered by some as the premier trainer of pitchers in the world today.  His specialty is developing velocity and explosiveness in his athletes. At the 3 day event Coach will walk the attendees through how to use ropes, chains, core balls, tires in ways you’ve NEVER seen before...all developing each athlete’s innate athleticism and power.
Examples of ordinary kids doing extra ordinary things under the watchful eyes of Strom & Wolforth:
17 Year old Jesus Mendoza went from 68 mph to 88mph in 14 months under Coach’s system.
17 Year old Blaize Allen went from 82 to 88mph in 2 WEEKS!!!!
21 Year old Eric Bender went from 81 to 92 in 9 months!
10 year old Zack Knoll went from 52 to 60mph in 8 weeks!
Coach Wolforth has:
-A 95 lb, ten year old throwing 70.1 mph and 220 feet in long toss
-3 eighth graders throwing the mid 80”
-2 juniors in HS topping out at 95mph

So his system works for every pitcher and ALL ages.
